SNRC Membrane Bioreactors

Sterling Natural Resource Center facility overview photo

The Sterling Natural Resource Center (SNRC) utilizes a multi-step treatment process to treat and recycle an average of up to 8 million gallons of wastewater per day. Treated water is recharged to local groundwater basin to replenish supply and provide a sustainable source of water. The District’s contractor will install a fifth filtration train in the Membrane Bioreactors (MBR) to increase overall treatment capacity to 10 million gallons per day. This expansion will enhance facility operations and allow the District to meet the community’s service needs.
