Rebate Programs

East Valley Water District maintains a water conservation rebate program for residents within the service area to assist with replacing older fixtures with water efficient models.

Drought tolerant landscaping.

About the Program

Funding is approved on an annual basis, and rebates are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. It is recommended that you receive rebate approval prior to purchase, to ensure that the requested item meets the program qualification requirements.

Customer account must be in good standing in order to be eligible to participate in any of the District's rebate programs.

Important Processing Information

The rebate program has limited funding, and rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis while funds last. Due to a high number of applications, processing times may take longer than the usual 6-8 weeks. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible to increase your availability of receiving a rebate.

Outdoor Rebates

Outdoor irrigation accounts for approximately 60% of total water used in our service area. EVWD encourages optimum irrigation efficiency through the use of:

  • Low-water-use plants and less turf grass in a landscapes design
  • High-efficiency irrigation technology
  • Water-use efficiency surveys
  • Repairs of irrigation leaks
Irrigation Retrofit Program

Weather based irrigation controllers (WBIC) use the weather to set your irrigation schedule instead of a traditional sprinkler controller. High efficiency nozzles use a lower water flow per minute than conventional spray nozzles, reducing water usage. To help customers increase water efficiency outdoors, the District will replace old irrigation controllers with a new WBIC, install high efficiency nozzles, and complete minor irrigation repairs through the new irrigation retrofit program at no cost to the customer.
